First and foremost, "The New York Skyway" is a fantastic and futuristic "Highline" for Bike Riders Along the Hudson. And just like "Highline," it is a multi-layered space that represents more than what it is intended to be. That is "The Magic" of a fully realized Public Space that is first "Established" as a "Solution to a Need," in this case, "The Bike Riders of New York." But as "Word" passes from "First Movers" to families, friends and volunteers, an "Idea" becomes a "Spark of Creativity," and soon a "Need for Bike Riders" becomes "An Idea to Transform the Lower West Side Highway," into a "Double-Decker Architectural Wonder" and the Piers along the Hudson become "Reimagined Public Spaces" for "Art & Education, Sports" and soon to be discovered, totally unique New York Experiences." And much like the "Highline," "The New York Skyway" will become a destination for New Yorkers from all boroughs, from neighbors in New Jersey, Long Island, Yonkers and parts north, not to mention "Tourists" from around the world.
