If we look at the past fifty years since the PC entered the mainstream of our culture, leading to the establishment of email, the Internet, Smartphone, The Cloud and now Generative AI, the transformative moment for each relied on Moore’s Law, the doubling of a transistor’s processing power every two years or less.

With the arrival of Generative AI, and it’s concurrent “March to Achieve Artificial General Intelligence (AGI),” we can add a new wrinkle or dimension to the equation, namely that with each massive increase in GPU Power, one must add an equally massive energy source to achieve this new “Higher State of Intelligence.” And this ongoing process of innovation might become known as “The Age of Compute.”
