Ted Schilowitz, Futurist, ViacomCBS: Ted spends his time and pursues his passion in a unique role in the entertainment industry. Ted works across the leadership and the technology teams across Paramount Global, including CBS, CBS Sports, Paramount Pictures, Paramount Plus, MTV, Nickelodeon, BET, PlutoTV and Comedy Central, exploring emerging tech for entertainment with an emphasis on Virtual and Mixed Reality and Web 3.0/ MetaVerse pursuits. Prior to joining Paramount, Ted was the Futurist at 20th Century Fox, where he worked on the evolving art, science and technology of advanced interactive visual storytelling. He was part of the creation team for the Martian VR and Wild VR experiences, which premiered at CES and Sundance as groundbreaking projects that pushed the envelope of Virtual Reality storytelling, Ted was part of the creation teams for the Alien, Planet of the Apes and Predator VR experiences at Fox, and at his current home at Paramount Pictures, he’s been instrumental in bringing the Grease Mixed Reality experience, the Light as a Feather mixed reality experience and the Quiet Place Virtual Reality experience to life. Ted was an integral part of the product development team at Red Digital Cinema as the company’s first employee. The Red One and Epic cameras have made a significant impact on the Motion Picture Industry, winning a Sci-Tech Academy award. Many of the world’s biggest movies are now being shot with these ultra high resolution digital movie cameras. Ted is one of the founders and creators of the G-Tech product line of advanced hard drive storage products. As one of the most recognized brands in that industry, they are implemented worldwide at the highest levels on cinema, episodic television, sports and news production. In his role as Chief Creative Officer at Barco Escape, he spearheaded an experimental immersive cinema project for movie theaters worldwide. Titles include Paramount Pictures Star Trek Beyond and 20th Century Fox Maze Runner & Maze Runner 2. Before being part of the founding teams at Red Digital Cinema and G-Tech, Ted was on the team that developed and launched the Macintosh desktop video division of AJA Video Systems, creating professional video products in tandem with Apple. These products are used on a massive scale worldwide for video production and post at the highest levels, on many of the world’s biggest movies, TV series and sporting events. Ted has presented worldwide at numerous conferences on the advancements in next generation visual experiences for the movie, television and, interactive entertainment industries. He’s been featured in Wired, Variety, NY Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, The Hollywood Reporter, NBC, CNET, Studio Daily, Videography, Film and Video, DV Magazine, TV Technology, HD Video Pro, Engadget, Gizmodo, Millimeter, American Cinematographer, MacWorld, Post Magazine, Popular Science, and countless other publications discussing his areas of passion and exploration. In 2019, Ted was honored at the Variety Hall of Fame event with the Variety Innovation Award.


Leslie Shannon, Head of Ecosystem and Trend Scouting, Nokia: Leslie entered the mobile communications world as a billing database analyst in the early 1990s. She joined Nokia Australia in 2000 and became the manager of the FutureLab, an early developer incubator in the days of WAP, GPRS and 3G. Building on her first-hand technical and business experience of the reality of bringing applications to market, she developed an analysis service for Nokia that examined success and failure factors for operators bringing mobile data to market for 4G that proved so successful that Nokia created a new department around her work. While in this role, she was based in Finland and worked with over 100 operators in more than 70 countries. Leslie relocated to Silicon Valley in 2015 and now focuses on identifying disruptions and opportunities for Nokia and its operator partners coming from outside the traditional telco world, particularly in the worlds of 5G, AR, VR, MR and the Spatial Internet. She is passionate not only about bringing strategic insight to Nokia and its customers, but also about introducing successful new paradigms from Silicon Valley to the telecommunications mindset, and continues to be a highly-regarded analyst and speaker. Born in Manhattan, Leslie has a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a Master’s Degree in the History of Art from Yale University. She was an undefeated five-time champion in the American television game show “Jeopardy!” in 1992 and was invited to return to the show to compete in a tournament for one million dollars as one of the show’s “most memorable contestants” in 2002 and again in 2014. (She didn’t win, but still had a lot of fun.) She also got four questions away from willing a million dollars on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” in August 2017. Leslie lives in Santa Clara, California, with her husband and their two mobile-data enthusiast children.


Annie Hanlon, Production Innovation Executive: Annie Hanlon is an accomplished executive and award-winning producer with expertise spanning immersive and virtual production as well as traditional film and series, commercials,and documentary production. Most recently Annie was Manager of Virtual Production at Netflix. In this capacity, she worked closely with Production and VFX title management teams to ensure seamless organization and effective execution of Series and Film productions on projects leveraging advanced technologies, while also overseeing the build and deployment of LED Volume stages. Her focus is on emerging production methodologies where digital techniques merge with physical production practices to identify new opportunities to enhance filmmaking and help tell the best stories. An early adopter in the medium of virtual reality, Annie was VP/Head of Content Partnerships at Light Field technology company Lytro (acquired by Google). She has produced award-winning immersive projects on a global scale including the VR documentary “The Protectors” (dir Kathryn Bigelow) which premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival during her tenure as executive producer at VR production company Here Be Dragons. She has a track record of strategy, media, vision, and impact for leading companies in Hollywood and Silicon Valley. Annie is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Infinity Festival. She has served as an instructor for graduate students at Boston University and has mentored filmmakers at Facebook as well as students at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.


Angus Kneale is a globally recognized, multi award-winning creative pioneer, innovator and entrepreneur. In 2020, Angus launched creative and technology studio Preymaker, a future facing collective of creatives and technologists who utilize an advanced custom cloud platform to craft content for leading brands and studios. Preymaker works in linear content and interactive immersive media including the Metaverse. Additional content includes commercials, branded entertainment and original short films such as award-winning original animated short, BLUE, one of the first created entirely in the cloud using Unreal Engine’s real-time technology. Angus continues to pioneer the use of new technologies utilizing the latest in computer vision, A.I. machine learning and cloud technology to push what is possible and help define the new world of content creation. Angus has been recognized by Adweek as part of their Creative 100, which celebrates the most inspiring minds in marketing, media and culture. Prior to Preymaker he co-founded The Mill US and was a key architect and inventor of Cannes Gold Lion Innovation winner Blackbird®, the breakthrough IP unique vehicle for automotive content that creates photoreal computer generated vehicles. 

 

Marc Maleh, SVP of Connected Experiences, Valtech: Marc has over 13 years of experience in interactive and emerging technology. Prior to his role at Valtech, Marc served as VP, Managing Director at R/GA, where he helped grow a team of Data Scientists, technologists, and creatives who built data driven platforms and campaigns for Nike, LA Dodgers, MD Anderson Cancer Research Center, Samsung and Verizon. Marc has also managed international design and technology teams in New York and Shanghai for Screampoint, working with clients that included Apple, AIG, World Trade Center Development, Hudson Yards Development and Jamba Juice. Marc has been a Judge at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity and has spoken at Fast Company Innovation Festival, Venture Beat AI Conference, NYC Media Lab, General Assembly, NYU, Parsons and Montana State University.


Remington Scott, Founder, CEO and Chief Architect, Hyperreal®: Hyperreal.io CEO and Chief Architect, Remington Scott, is a digital entertainment visionary. Known for his work on Academy Award winning VFX for blockbuster films and the biggest selling video games, Scott was named to The Wrap’s 2022 “Innovators List” for, among other efforts, “giving the Metaverse a soul.”  He is currently building the licensing ecosystem for digital identities of the world's most recognized celebrities to monetize across AI opportunities.

Sol Rogers, Global Director of Innovation, Magnopus: As Global Director of Innovation at Magnopus, Sol helps brands, businesses, and governments unlock new possibilities in the physical-meets-digital space. Previously, he founded REWIND, the UK’s leading immersive spatial design and innovation agency delivering projects for The BBC, Universal Pictures, HBO, and many more. As CEO, he led the company to a successful acquisition by Magnopus in 2021 – forming a global team of world-class talent, tech and expertise set to shape the future of immersive experiences. Before REWIND, Sol was a senior university lecturer for 15 years in digital animation, VFX and emerging technology. He taught more than 1,300 students, wrote undergraduate and Masters degrees, and supervised PHDs during his tenure. Sol is also Chairman of BAFTA’s Immersive Entertainment Advisory Group, and Chairman of Immerse UK – the first nationwide network for immersive companies working to make the UK the global leader in immersive technologies.
