12 Noon: Eastern Time Zone

Opening Keynote One-on-One

The 2024 AI Inflection Point: The Energy Acceleration Summit

1:00 PM - 1:45 PM Eastern Time Zone

Session I:

Investment in AI Energy Innovation: Solar 3.0, Decarbonization, Hydro, Geo & Fusion - Public/Private Partnerships

The question is, which energy sector will not be transformed by the implementation of Artificial Intelligence. Where will “Results Based” energy transformation come from? AI and ML will be at the heart of it. In Solar, Hydro, Geo, Fusion, Nuclear and the final iterations of Fossil Fuel technology, AI innovation and the Investment the industry makes will determine how the future of energy will be understood.

Attendance is Free and Online

Registration will Open - May, 1, 2024

Session II:

AI & High Efficiency Solar: Transparent Glass, Organic Photovoltaics, Perovskite & Quantum Solar

The proliferation of Solar is about to take the leap from 3 or 4% of the US energy market to 10 – 20% in the coming decade. And that leap will depend primarily on the next generation of Solar Panel technology. Now that the public and private investment has been secured, the market is poised for implementation. They say that the “Future is Solar” and our group of industry innovators are on the front lines of a future that is about to arrive.

2:00 PM - 2:45 PM Eastern Time Zone

Session I:

Solar Skyscrapers: The Energy Tower Complex, Edge City Power Corridors - "Solar Energy Parks"

Solar implementation has traditionally been a horizontal phenomenon with the proliferation of utility-scale“Solar Farms,” but there is an alternative vision which sees “Solar Going Vertical,” seeing a future of Solar Skyscrapers. This “Solar Model” envisions Center City High-Rises, replacing their massive “Glass Infrastructure” with Floor to ceiling Solar Glass panels. Similarly, “Transparent Solar Glass” could be used in cars, homes, even mobile devices. And Solar Skyscrapers could also emerge as “Dedicated Solar Structures,” built outside of center cities, in “Solar Energy Parks.” Imagine a Major City with a “Ring of Solar Parks” in a 50-mile loop connected to the city utility.

Session II:

AI, EVs and Imagining the Global Transportation Grid

For starters, AI is at the heart of the self-driving car and the era of “Autonomous Vehicles” is about to enter the mainstream. AI is already at work in all our smartphone “Traffic Prediction Apps” providing the massive processing brain-power for our real-time data requirements. But in addition to the “Management” of “Transportation Flow,” AI is also at the core of “Transportation Innovation,” from cars, trucks and flying taxis, to high-speed trains, airplanes and spacecraft. AI will assist in the design of EV engines as well as rocket propulsion. AI is at the heart and soul of the “Future of Transportation.”

3:00 PM -3:45 PM Eastern Time Zone

Session I:

Solar Skyscrapers II: Transparent Solar Glass, Solar Clusters, AI Monitored Layers/Silos of Glass

Imagine a “Solar Skyscraper” designed for one singular purpose, the commercial production of Energy. Humans will not work or live inside these spaces. And imagine an “Industrial Park” comprised only of Solar Skyscrapers. And further, imagine a “Major City” surrounded by a half-dozen Solar Parks, constructed in a loop, fifty miles outside the city, supplying energy via dedicated utility lines. Imagine how the Solar Glass panels, floors and solar enabling technologies could be designed and engineered for high performance energy production. And finally, imagine "Private and Public Financing Partnerships" enabling their development and construction.  “Solar Skyscraper Parks” do not exist today, but may be central to our not too distant future.

Session II:

Energy Storage & AI: Innovation in Materials, Delivery Systems, and Efficiency

Supplying, monitoring, and maintaining national, regional and local energy grids is the core challenge of our time. The well-being and survival of all modern economies is completely based on reliable energy grids. And central to that energy supply are the materials, energy storage, energy delivery systems and the efficiency of that supply chain. The demands placed on this supply chain are completely reliant on investment, innovation and the implementation of AI technologies. This panel is about the beating-heart of the energy supply chain. This panel is about scientists, engineers and designers and their relationship to Artificial Intelligence.

4:00 PM -4:45 PM Eastern Time Zone

Session I:

The Solar Skyscraper  Design Competition - The Solar Industrial Park

The Solar Skyscraper is not only a revolutionary energy production concept, it will also be a gateway to “Architectural Design Innovation.” A new and unique form of energy production will open the door and inspire the greatest minds in global design to define a new concept in architecture. A Solar Skyscraper is not only a magnificent structure of glass panels rising to more than one thousand feet, it is also a structure designed with and of Artificial Intelligence; a structure that moves, rotates and is designed with an intelligence with singular purpose, a collaboration of aesthetics, efficiency and science to serve as a revolutionary energy force for the 21st Century.

Session II:

Space-Based Solar Power Generation: Exploration & Future Earth Energy Resource

For decades, Solar Energy has powered the International Space Station via the familiar sight of the magical looking Solar Arrays surrounding the ISS. The next step in Solar based power in Space is the challenge of producing a vast and regular supply of Solar Energy in space, convert it into Microwaves and transmit it to power stations on earth. Recently a prototype from Caltech's Space Solar Power Project (SSPP) was launched into orbit via a SpaceX rocket to begin the process of developing the system to deliver readily available Solar Energy from Space to communities on Earth. In this session, we will explore the viability and timeline of this technology.

Session III:

U.S Electric Grid and Artificial Intelligence: Identifying, Vulnerabilities, Security & Threats

The Energy Industry may well be a case-study for the application of “AI Supercomputing,” and massive real-time critical data.  From the installation of the first “Electrical Power Grid”  in the 1880s, more than 130 years ago, the need to measure supply and distribution of commercial electricity became the preoccupation of the “Electrical Engineers” running “Thomas Edison’s Company.” All these many years later, the task is not too different, but it has scaled into micro, city-wide, regional and national grids.  While the “Meters” in homes may appear similar, the massive Artificial Intelligence collecting the real-data, monitoring energy flow, identifying threats and vulnerabilities, providing 24/7 security represent the arrival of a new AI and Energy industry.
