Kim Evey, Founder, Gorgeous Tiny Productions. Over the last two years, Evey has firmly established herself as a pioneering new media creator and producer with over 80 million web-wide views on her various productions. She began her Hollywood career as a professional actress on such TV shows as "ER," "Shark," and "Boston Legal." Her first project, "Gorgeous Tiny Chicken Machine Show," a parody of Japanese television, found viral success (the pilot alone has garnered over 2.3 million views), leading to a production and distribution deal with Sony. Buoyed by Gorgeous Tiny's achievements, Kim suggested that a friend retool her half-hour television pilot about online gamers for the web. The resulting series, "The Guild," created by and starring Felicia Day and co-produced by Evey, became a You Tube hit with over 11 million views and was unique in that it was primarily funded through fan donations. For season two, Day made an unprecedented deal with Microsoft, giving them an exclusive distribution window through MSN.com and Xbox Live, yet allowing her to retain all subsequent rights to the show. "The Guild" has since racked up a slew of awards including the Yahoo and You Tube Awards for "Best Series" and the first annual Streamys for "Best Actress" (Felicia Day), "Best Ensemble Cast" & "Best Comedy." In addition, Kim co-created the very popular, extremely politically incorrect web series "Retarded Policeman" (over 35 million web wide views) with her husband Greg Benson of Mediocre Films and the not-as-naughty-as-it-sounds "Two Hot Girs In The Shower (over 11 million views) with actress Julie Wittner.
Justine Bateman, founding partner, www.fm78.tv and former SAG board member : Justine Bateman is a founding partner of FM78.tv, a production company focused on the future of entertainment. FM78.tv is dedicated to producing high-quality professional content for Internet distribution. They recognize that the future of Entertainment will be distributed exclusively through the Internet soon and as Pioneers in this space, they are helping to design the rules for original professional online content. Throughout the 1980's and 90's, Justine was best known for her acting on shows like "Family Ties" (for which she earned two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe nomination) and "Men Behaving Badly". In the late 90's, with many TV shows, films, and theater under her belt, Justine became involved in performance art and after studying under Rachel Rosenthal she went on to produce three performance art collection shows called "The Pony Pony Show" in Los Angeles. In 2000, her ease with design and craft birthed a successful design company, Justine Bateman Designs. Known mostly for her incredible hand-knits, Justine and her company sold to shops like Henri Bendel's, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Fred Segal. 2003 brought acting to the forefront once more with Showtime's "Out Of Order" and Justine found herself taking more time for acting again. At the same time, she began writing scripts and over the next year found herself with three feature scripts, various pilots, and numerous treatments for future scripts. The fall of 2007, through her involvement and support for the WGA strike, Justine contributed to the success of the "Speechless" campaign with Alan Sereboff, Jill Kushner, and George Hickenlooper. She eventually partnered with Jill , Alan, and Peter Murrieta to form FM78.tv. FM78.tv is currently in talks with various corporate sponsors to fund their projects including Undocumented, Recruiters and the comedy mini-series, "Candy Inc", which was created by Justine and based on one of her pilots.
