Darrell Haber, Senior Director Strategic Alliances, OpenTV: Darrell is Senior Director of Strategic Alliances for OpenTV (OPTV - NASDAQ). Darrell oversees all aspects of OpenTV’s partner management, training, and technical documentation, working closely with other members of senior management to identify and map business development opportunities. Since starting with OpenTV in 2006, he has held various roles in Product Marketing, Partner Management and Event Management. He has more than eight years of experience in developing solutions, services, and products in media and technology for companies such as MetaTV (now TVWorks) and Salesforce.com. Darrell is a frequent speaker and panelist on a variety of digital television topics including interactive television services and advanced advertising.








Kelly Ryan, vice president, content business development, BlackArrow: Kelly Ryan is an established television and convergence professional. At BlackArrow. Ryan is chartered with building and managing relationships with content providers. Prior, she was director, business development at Fox Entertainment Group, where she managed the company's international joint venture with WebMD, a $100 million convergence proposition encompassing broadcast television, Internet and convergence ventures. At Fox, Ryan had purview over investment and new business initiatives in both the traditional and new media sectors, such as News Corp.'s $5.2 billion sale of Fox Kids to Disney, where she led the Fox due diligence process for Europe and Latin America. Ryan was also director, business development at Showtime/Viacom and Fox/News Corp. where she developed initiatives to create and operate new television channels and media ventures.





Sanjay Desai, Vice President, Product Marketing, Brightcove: Sanjay serves as Vice President of Product Marketing at Brightcove. In this role, he leads the product team responsible for Brightcove’s core service and spearheads product marketing across the organization. Before joining Brightcove, Sanjay spent several years leading product management/marketing for Tellme Networks’ consumer business in Mountain View, California. Prior to Tellme, Sanjay served as VP, Strategic Planning at The Walt Disney Company, focused on ABC’s broadcast and production businesses. Earlier in his career, Sanjay gained experience within Goldman Sachs’ technology, media and telecom M&A group and as a strategy consultant for KPMG. He holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford Business School.






Alex Castro is CEO & Co-founder of Delve Networks. Alex has deep product and management experience from Microsoft, Amazon, and Trilogy. At Microsoft, he was the Group Program Manager for the MSN Entertainment business unit, which included the MSN Music,Video, Movies, and TV websites. He also drove the company's device synchronization strategy for Windows Vista and was a key member of the CRM team. At Trilogy, Alex led the successful deployment of a complex CRM solution for Toyota. He was responsible for the marketing and program management of Amazon's web services and oversaw the launch of the Mechanical Turk online marketplace. Alex holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in computer science from Cornell University, where he also completed coursework at Cornell's Johnson School of Management. As an undergrad, he was named a AT&T Bell Laboratories Scholar, which provided a full scholarship to the college of his choice and an opportunity to work on digital media, voice over IP, and speech recognition at Bell Labs. As a graduate student, Alex was a recipient of a full tuition scholarship from the Microsoft Corporation.

Joyce Schwarz, JCOM Emerging Entertainment Marketing: Joyce A. Schwarz is an author/speaker/consultant and one of the leaders in the emerging entertainment and media arena. She heads JCOM, a new product launch and branding consulting firm located in Marina Del Rey, California. Joyce has created marketing and advertising campaigns for more than 100 consumer and B2B technologies and products ranging from emusic.com to projects for Philips, France Telecom & AT&T. She combines more than 20 years experience in advertising and marketing for international ad agencies such as Foote Cone & Belding with a masters degree in film from USC and extensive production experience in film, television, video and interactive. She wrote "Reinventing Hollywood" for the NAB in 1992 and then co-wrote "Multimedia: Gateway to the Next Millennium" in 1993, "How to Break Into the New Hollywood" in 1995. Her latest book is "Cutting the Cord: Guide to Going Wireless" Que Publishing, June 2002. Schwarz is well known as a business writer and colu! mnist for more than 150 articles in such publications as: Business 2.0, Conferenza, Digitrends.net, 'Christian Science Monitor", 'Sales and Marketing' (SAM), LA Times and more. She was the chair and organizer for the first Paris, France Internet/ITV conference from 1995-1997, Digital Day LA , 1993-1996 and is a popular keynote speaker at such conferences as the Invention Convention and the San Diego Computer Fair. She specializes in developing partnerships and alliances for emerging entertainment and new technologies.

Ben Mendelson is the founder and president of the Interactive Television Alliance, an independent trade association representing the broad interests of the entire iTV industry. He is also the co-founder and sr. partner in 2degree Partners, a management consultancy involved in iTV, Direct Response TV, and integrated online services. Ben has been an innovator in developing interactive "t-commerce" applications and has been involved in New Media marketing from its earliest days. He was a founding member of Digital Bayside and the Addressable Media Coalition and has held leadership positions in various organizations, including the Electronic Retailing Assoc. (ERA) and the Assoc. of Interactive Media (AIM). In January 1994, he started one of the first commercial Internet companies, where his clients included Sony Pictures, HBO, House of Blues, Philips Media, and Graham Nash. In 1996, Ben created the Internet Services Division for Curtco Freedom Publishing, where he designed online versions of various magazines including HomeTheater, Entertainment@Home, and Mobile Computing. In 1999, he developed the Internet division for Williams Direct, a full service Direct Response TV (DRTV) advertising agency. Later that year, Ben was hired to head the Internet program for the Electronic Retailing Association, the primary trade organization for the DRTV industry. In April 2000, Ben became VP of Business Development for the Winterberry Group, a research based consultancy that specializes in Direct Marketing; his focus was integrating iTV / DRTV and developing new business models. Prior to his Internet experience (from 1982 - 1991), Ben was the owner and director of LAPA (L.A. Art Photographers Association), an art gallery and resource center for commercial and fine art photography. In 1992, he founded PhotoSource, a showcase, service bureau, and training center for digital imaging. Ben has long established relationships with EarthLink, Netscape/AOL, and WebTV/MicrosoftTV along with Liberate, OpenTV, Wink, QVC, HSN, and Guthy-Renker. He has taught at the American Film Institute(AFI), UCLA Extension, So. CA Institute of Architecture(SCIArch), L.A. Internet Group, and the Learning Annex. Ben writes a regular column for Response Magazine and has been published in MediaTrends, Digitrends, Retailing.org, and Entertainment@Home. He is on the advisory board of the American Film Institute (AFI) Enhanced TV Program and is a familiar speaker at many iTV, Internet, and Direct Marketing conferences.
