Robert J. Mayson, General Manager, Digital Motion Imaging and Vice President, Entertainment Imaging, Eastman Kodak Company: Bob Mayson is a member of the senior management team in Kodak’s Entertainment Imaging unit with responsibility for all digital motion products and services. Those comprise the company’s emerging digital cinema business, as well as an extensive portfolio of services, including Cinesite Europe Limited in London, LaserPacific Media Corporation in Hollywood, and emerging market laboratory services in Europe and India. Mayson brings more than 30 years of Kodak experience to his leadership role in the emerging digital business. He joined Kodak in his native England in 1971, working first in the consumer photography sector of the company. In the early 1990s, he moved to Kodak’s Entertainment Imaging business, the company unit that provides products and services to customers in the feature movie, television, and commercial production arenas, worldwide. In his first Entertainment Imaging assignment, Mayson served as worldwide segment manager for feature films, leading the team that defined the need for – and developed -- the Kodak Vision family of films, the products that revolutionized image quality in motion pictures. Moving to Hollywood, Mayson was responsible for the marketing and sales of those products and others, and for managing the Western region sales staff, which serves Kodak customers in 10 states. Although Kodak’s involvement with feature film production had always ended in the laboratory, Mayson began to develop business opportunities in the cinema and became Kodak’s first general manager of the Cinema Operations Group. He then returned to London in a worldwide position as general manager of origination products, which involved the development of new and improved film stocks, including additions to the new Kodak Vision2 family of films. Mayson was appointed to his current position in October 2005. He lives in Hollywood and in London.
