Jane Hu, Vuguru / Tornante: Jane Hu heads the business side of Vugur u, the new media studio founded by Michael Eisner's The Tornante Company. At Vuguru, she manages the strategy, business development, marketing, distribution, and advertising for high-quality content produced specifically for new media platforms. Vuguru's inaugural show, Prom Queen, approaches its final episode on June 20th after a successful 80-episode run. Jane has been working at Tornante since its inception in October 2005, investing in and incubating early stage media companies. Prior to joining Tornante, Jane worked in Corporate Strategic Planning at Disney, and she received a Masters and Bachelors from Stanford University.
Kourosh Taj, Co-President and Head of Programming, NO GOOD TV (NGTV): K ourosh Taj serves as Co-President and Head of Programming for NO GOOD TV (NGTV). He was elected to the companys board of directors at its inception in 2000. For the last seven years, Mr. Taj has led NGTV programming, talent acquisition, production, business development, content licensing from studio and record labels, as well acting as the creative director and development director of the NGTV premium channel. Mr. Taj has been in the music and entertainment industry for over 14 years holding various positions in television production, development, licensing, talent booking and operations. Prior to co-founding NGTV, Mr. Taj held the position of Executive Vice President of MusiTopia and spearheaded the creative components and development of a landmark music theme park project for the re-use of the old Atlantic City Convention Center.
Zach Posner, Head of Interactive and Business Development, National Lampoon: Zach is presently the Vice President of Corporate Development for National Lampoon. In his current role he helps to guide corporate strategy and works day to day overseeing the network division which includes National Lampoons College Television, Radio and Internet activities. Zach joins National Lampoon from World Avenue, an Internet marketing services and technology company that specializes in serving the Fortune 1000, where he worked in the corporate development group. Posner's main responsibilities were developing strategic partnerships and acquisition opportunities to help grow World Avenue. Before joining World Avenue, Zach worked in the venture capital industry focused on technology investments and in the transaction services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Zach graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Accounting and Finance.
Tim Shey is a founder of Next New Networks and Vice President of Network Deve lopment, responsible for the creative development of networks and programming for the company. Tim has been a creative executive in interactive and mobile media for over a decade, working widely in emerging media including interactive television, mobile entertainment, and social networking. In 1996, Tim co-founded Proteus, a pioneering interactive agency and mobile content company, where he was responsible for the first-ever interactive television broadcast in the U.S. using mobile phones during FOXs Super Bowl XXXVI, co-produced four seasons of interactive TV for FOX Sports MLB, NFL, and NASCAR broadcasts, and developed numerous other innovative projects including network-wide mobile content offerings for HBO, ABC and FOX. His ten years' interactive work as a creative director included major campaigns for clients including Sony, The Washington Post-Newsweek, ExxonMobil, and Motorola, among others. After Proteus acquisition in 2004, Tim consulted for a number of organizations on their interactive strategies, and produced original content for the web and mobile devices, including AMANDA ACROSS AMERICA, with Amanda Congdon, the first ever videoblog to launch with sponsorships from day one.
